My "Motivate Yourself" CHARACTER EDUCATION speech is based around my first ever keynote with the idea being presented to students about the importance of pushing and stretching themselves to go further in everything they do. Emphasis is placed on the need for students to make their own choices that will help push them further in whatever life path they take. "Motivate Yourself" has been presented at such prestigious events as:

  • National Association of Student Councils' National Conference; Kansas, 2007
  • Students Against Destructive Decisions National Conference; Louisiana, 2007
  • Canadian Youth Against Impaired Driving National Conference; Ontario, 2005; Alberta, 2007
  • New Mexico Association of Student Councils State Conference; New Mexico, 2008
  • Texas Association of Student Councils State Conference; Texas, 2008
  • Ontario Student Leadership Conference; Ontario, 2006
  • Newfoundland Provincial Student Leadership Conference; Newfoundland, 2005
  • 100's of Middle and High Schools, Colleges, Camps and more!

Within the speech, pockets of information will deal with Character Education attributes without specifically going into an explanation of the type of education that students are receiving. This is a method purposely used to try to prevent students from mentally connecting the keynote speech to the classroom. This way they learn and receive the message without ever realizing what just hit them.

The Character Education attributes dealt with in the "Motivate Yourself" keynote speech include, "Responsibility", "Initiative", "Perseverance" and "Optimism".

  • "Responsibility" and "Initiative" attributes are dealt with during 2 pockets of the speech that deal with the importance of the individual pushing themselves and not relying on others to do it for them.
  • "Perseverance" is the overlying theme of 1 pocket regarding never regretting anything you do and certainly is a theme emphasized throughout the entire speech.
  • "Optimism" is an overlying theme of the speech, specifically dealt with in each pocket of the speech as it pertains to always looking at the silver lining in every cloud.

My "Motivate Yourself" keynote is guaranteed to make you Laugh, Think and Motivate Yourself.

"Your presentation was very powerful and our students benefitted from your visit...I was impressed by your entire program. You have a most positive way to reach out to your audience. The serious message is wrapped with humor, personal experience, and genuine concern for teenagers.
